Tobacco Process Plant Monitoring
We design and manufacture fixed continuous Isopentane Gas Detection systems for Autoclaves associated with the Tobacco industry. The flammable gas is used to expand tobacco and as part of the health and safety process we are required to monitor various points around the Autoclave, Process Plant and Vent stack. We use modern ATEX approved Infra Red low level sensors for first stage alarm at the Threshold Limit Valve of 600 ppm. Pellistor percent by volume range sensors (ATEX approved) are also available. These sensors interface with our bespoke PLC cabinets which regularly include:
- Touch Screen display of gas concentration, alarm & fault conditions
- Sensor Inhibit functions
- Relay Inhibit and Test functions
- Graphical Trending
- Mimic Panels
- Key Switches for sounder mute and other functions
- UPS
Features available are:
- Infra Red ATEX approved sensors range 0 – 9999 ppm
- Alarm levels to suit the application e.g. 600 ppm, 2,800 ppm and 9,000 ppm
- Pellistor ATEX approved sensors range 0 – 100% LEL
- PLC Cabinets programmed by Cause & Effect chart design
- Wall mounted control panels for smaller applications
- Vent stack or duct sampling systems
- Sequential sampling numerous stack or duct points back to a single cabinet to reduce capital cost
- Repeated 4 – 20 mA analogue and relay outputs for BMS interface
- ATEX approved Marshalling junction boxes for cable installation
- Wireless communication for text messaging faults or alarm conditions
