Having completed a technical and commercial tender process for the design, supply, install and commission of new fixed continuous Hydrogen Sulphide and/or odour monitoring systems for the site boundary at Dalmarnock Sewage Treatment Works, Scottish Water choose Pollution Monitors “Element” device as their preferred solution having seen identical units supplied by us at Shieldhall WwTW.
The systems, due to be installed in the coming months, will monitor ppb (parts per billion) concentrations of Hydrogen Sulphide and other odorous cross sensitive gases at various point on the site boundary and the vent stacks of the existing odour control plant.
Pollution Monitors have also partnered with Purenviro to utilise their odour mapping facility to enable data to be shown on a web portal. The comprehensive package will assist Scottish Water with their management of odours on site.
